The Camino with a Polaroid: A Picture Journey by Jürgen Raab
Jürgen Raab took an old Polaroid instant camera on the Camino. 40 instant photos tell the story of his pilgrimage – picture by picture.

Jürgen Raab walked the Camino with an old Polaroid instant camera. His 40 instant photos tell the story of the journey in a limited number of shots – each one on paper right after the shutter clicked.
On pilgrimage with an instant camera
Most pilgrims take their photos on the Camino with their phone – after all, you have it with you anyway. Only very few pilgrims bring an extra camera, usually to be able to take especially carefully chosen pictures.
Jürgen Raab did it quite differently: he walked the Camino and took an old Polaroid instant camera with him.
Photographically, that is hopelessly inferior and a lot of effort. But of course it develops a charm all its own when you can only take a limited number of photos along the way and they then appear on paper straight away.
Jürgen sent jakobsweg.de scans of his photos so that this picture story could be made from them.
Enjoy!
