New feature: Camino Partners
Associations, confraternities and initiatives that look after the Ways of St James on the ground now have their own pages – and every route shows who stands behind it.

Camino Ninja has a new section: the Camino Partners. These are the associations, confraternities and initiatives that look after the Ways of St James on the ground – they waymark the routes, run hostels, issue pilgrim passports and guidebooks, and answer pilgrims' questions. These Camino Partners are the key partners of the routes on the ground.
Until now there has been no complete overview of which associations look after which routes. There are a few umbrella federations to which some of these associations belong – many others are not part of any federation and have so far been hard to find. The Camino Partners bring both together: every association with the routes it looks after and, where several share a route, with the section it is responsible for.
In the first few days, 36 Camino Partners have been added, from Estonia to Andalusia and from Brittany to Romania. Together they look after 163 routes. At the moment five to ten new partners are added every day. Camino Ninja now covers more than 300 Caminos, and that number is growing every day too.
Above all, this is about visibility. Every Camino Partner has its own page with its routes, its hostels and its contact details – for example the Association bretonne des Amis de Saint-Jacques, Jakobsweg Schweiz – Compostelle Suisse or The Confraternity of St James in London. On every route page the responsible association appears in the box and in the line “Associations along the way”, for instance on the Via Lemovicensis, which two French associations share. That way the links lead from the routes straight to the people who look after them.
For pilgrims this means: when you plan a route, one click takes you to the association that knows the current route, issues the credencial and knows which hostel is open right now. You can find all Camino Partners in the partner overview.
