Camino Portugués InteriorThe Camino Portugués Interior runs 228.3 kilometers from the Ecopista do Dão outside Viseu straight across the highlands of northern Portugal to Verín in Galicia. It climbs to 999 meters over the Serra do Montemuro, drops to Lamego and down to the Douro at Peso da Régua, scrambles up through the vineyard terraces to Vila Real and rolls on through the spa towns of Pedras Salgadas and Vidago to Chaves, the Roman Aquae Flaviae.
